The Tennessee Titans have completed their seventh interview in the head coaching selection process, with Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik being the latest candidate to undergo a virtual interview on Thursday evening. Slowik, in his inaugural season with the Texans, played a pivotal role in the progress of NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year frontrunner quarterback C.J. Stroud.
Before joining the Texans, Slowik spent six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, where he served as the passing game coordinator in 2022. His diverse experience includes roles as a passing game specialist (2021), offensive assistant (2019-2020), and defensive quality control coach (2017-2018). Slowik also held the position of a defensive assistant with the Washington Commanders from 2011 to 2013 after starting his NFL career as a video assistant in 2010.
The Titans have been actively conducting interviews to fill the head coaching position, having previously interviewed candidates such as Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, Raiders interim coach Antonio Pierce, Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald, Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, and Panthers offensive coordinator Thomas Brown.
While in-person interviews are slated to begin on January 22, virtual interviews, including the recent one with Slowik, are being conducted as part of the comprehensive selection process to find the next head coach for the Titans.
