The Green Bay Packers made a bold move in the 2020 offseason by drafting quarterback Jordan Love from Utah State as the 26th pick in the first round. This decision raised eyebrows as it seemed like an unusual choice for a team with an established quarterback like Aaron Rodgers. However, the Packers’ gamble appears to be paying off, as they have seen Love’s potential to lead the team after Rodgers’ departure.
Green Bay’s general manager, Brian Gutekunst, recently shared a humorous anecdote about how he was confident in Love’s abilities even before the draft. He joked that he knew as early as 2019 that Love was going to be the quarterback they needed.
