Analyst Jorge Sedano, speaking on 95.7 The Game, expressed doubt about the Warriors’ championship prospects, bluntly stating that they are “just not good enough” to compete at that level. Despite winning the championship less than two years ago and having a promising young roster, the team lacks a clear second star alongside Stephen Curry, especially with Klay Thompson’s decline due to injuries.
Although Andrew Wiggins has improved his shooting and Jonathan Kuminga is showing potential, the Warriors face a tougher Western Conference than in previous years. They will need to overcome strong competition to make it back to the NBA Finals.
Currently, the Warriors are likely to have to win the play-in tournament just to secure a playoff spot. This won’t be an easy task, particularly if they end up needing to win two games as the ninth or 10th seed. The team’s path to the playoffs and beyond is filled with challenges, and their recent success may not be enough to overcome them.
